Week 19/2026: 11 May to 17May 2026

It is a small chill break after a week long camp. The camp went so well by God’s grace, and the happiness of its success stayed with me throughout the week. I am now making a booklet and need to write two or three articles for the newspaper. I do not know when I will be able to complete all these tasks. I also need to pick up pace in utilising NMG effectively.

I slowly got back to work. I completed and sent an article for my Shramajeevi column, and also wrote one for Sudha Weekly on peperomias.

I watched the movie Kumbalangi Nights again. This was my second time watching it. It is such a beautiful film. The music, the scenery, the characters, the story, the values it carries, and the thrill of not knowing what happens next, I love everything about it.

I had ordered a few silicone moulds for making pots and planters. They arrived, and I made some pots using white cement. They turned out really well and looked very attractive. I am now thinking of hiring someone to run this small business.

It has started raining. The effects of El Niño are being discussed everywhere. Weather reports say the rains may continue till 20th May, and that the monsoon could arrive early. At the same time, there are predictions that June and July may not receive enough rainfall, which could lead to drought like conditions. I keep thinking about what such a situation would mean for our lives, and for the lives of countless other creatures in the Western Ghats, if the rains do not come as they usually do.
