Week 52/2025: 22nd Dec Monday to 28th dec Sunday

This week I was super free. Newsletters were done; was done with submission of two articles. My goals for December were met. My mind was planning some more work. Body was telling no. So I let myself free, just pass time. On nights I completed watching 3rd season of Demon slayer. Watched Amir Khan & Kareena Kapoor wala 'Talash' (this I wanted to watch from very very long time, I super liked it) I had few good photos of Dhruva, which I thought should be made into album. No cloud, No drives can keep them forever. Prolab has many good templates of economy editions at 999rs, we can also make a blank album which can accommodate as many photos we want. I had 3 previous orders customized from them. This is my 4th buy.  24th was my FIL (Sujay's appa's) ತಿಥಿ. He had died before I got married to Sujay, I have never seen him. On Saturday Sujay's friend Prashanth, and his wife Gayatri came home. Both happens to be my seniors at horti college. They wanted to visit our farm fr...

First para is for dear ladies; men can ignore The week started sad. Got back my periods. I was afraid my back pain will worsen. It didn't. It remained the same. This time I thought I should try period panty after all the reviews I saw. I had shifted to menstrual cups after marriage 4 years back. And I felt it the most hygienic, easy and safe way. But somewhere I felt cups might be putting pressure on my pelvic muscles and that could be a reason for increased lumbar pain. But I couldn't go back to pads. They are so unhygienic, difficult to dispose, leaky what not. So period panty I thought could be an answer. I tried. It is super amazing in absorbency and ease of use, not leaky. But washing it is the most painful task. And it's expensive (1 panty = use for 2 yrs = Rs. 850; you would need at least 3) (whereas 1 cup = use for 8 years = costs 300 or less). And after putting on panties the pain was same. So I am continuing using cups. By the brand 'Mahina' (S...

Dhruva is an year old. And it was time for vaccination. Typhoid+Hepatitis A. He already knew something bad is going to happen when we laid him on the hospital bed. He started crying way before doctor took out needle. Hungama lasted couple of minutes. We said thank you to our paediatrician in our own way: by giving a personalized notebook with our doc's name and a little embroidery. And we didn't miss giving chocolates to the nurse aunty. The little embroidered diary We had a pizza on the way back home at 'La pinoz'. We love the Indian flavours at La Pinoz. We have a domino's, but we don't go there. We don't like the thick crust of the pizza base. Although dhruva can eat anything now,, we prefer not to give junk untill he becomes aware of healthy v/s not. The days of celebration are not over yet. It was our marriage anniversary. We are married (of course happily) for 5 years now. And I kept bugging sujay to take me out (bugging husband...

week 49/2025 : 1st December Monday to 7th December Sunday

This week was fun (except for my back pain). I did a small embroidery on a notebook’s cover, inspired by something I had seen on insta handle of Neha Sachan .  I really enjoy doing such tiny, refreshing customization activities. The days suddenly jumped to Thursday, Dhruva’s first birthday. We didn’t celebrate with balloons, cakes, or people. I had ordered a new dhoti-kurta for Dhruva; we dressed him in it and took a photo. We went to Bakkala, to our Kuladevata ‘Satyanatheshwara’, and performed a ‘Rudra Abhisheka’. On the way back, we visited a ‘Gou Shala’. Dhruva, who is usually afraid of cows (very strange!), actually enjoyed watching the varied colored amba’s. The day was very auspicious because it was ‘Datta Jayanti’. We had a small pooja at home and later went to Sujay’s grandparents’ house for a ‘bhajan’ program. Thursday was extremely packed. Cows at the Gou Shala The temple of ‘Satyanatheshwara’ at Bakkala has a rich history. The place w...
