Week 20/206: 18 May Monday to 24 May Sunday

Monday I started planning a short trip to Mysore. Since Dhruva’s birth we have not been anywhere, literally nowhere, not even travelled more than 150 kms. Otherwise we would go on a trip to a different state every year. Rajasthan, Kashmir, Odisha, Sikkim and Darjeeling. Four years and four states. And then came Dhruva. I like travelling, to see places and experience the differences. Differences in people, history, culture, agriculture, climate, language, heritage, food, traditions, textiles, artworks, everything. My itinerary would be fullllll of places to visit. I do not spend time at the hotel we stay in, or on breakfast and lunch breaks. Travel literally means travel for me, from 8 in the morning to 8 in the night, sometimes beyond. I am saying “I” because Sujay is with me just for being there. He does not really like travelling. But it is not possible now, at least till Dhruva grows to 3 or 4 years old and learns to enjoy travelling. I hope he will become my travelling partner, rep...

Week 19/2026: 11 May to 17May 2026

It is a small chill break after a week long camp. The camp went so well by God’s grace, and the happiness of its success stayed with me throughout the week. I am now making a booklet and need to write two or three articles for the newspaper. I do not know when I will be able to complete all these tasks. I also need to pick up pace in utilising NMG effectively. I slowly got back to work. I completed and sent an article for my Shramajeevi column, and also wrote one for Sudha Weekly on peperomias. I watched the movie Kumbalangi Nights again. This was my second time watching it. It is such a beautiful film. The music, the scenery, the characters, the story, the values it carries, and the thrill of not knowing what happens next, I love everything about it. I had ordered a few silicone moulds for making pots and planters. They arrived, and I made some pots using white cement. They turned out really well and looked very attractive. I am now thinking of hiring someone to run this small busines...

Wohooooo. Past 15 days were the most productive time of this year. Phasalu is done with the first chapter of its most ambitious project 'Agri-Art-Theatre'. From planning the camp to the execution, I poured my whole energy and brain, for it turned out to be the best ever that can happen!. 25 students, 7 days 7 agri themes, 3 resource persons I have a lot lot lot to tell about but still organizing what to tell. I need time to digest what and all happened. This chaos of happiness may continue till a month. I am thinking to come up with a booklet, with every moment of what happened during the camp, the before, and the after. It will take a time lot more than what it took during planning. It was so so refreshing and insightful working with kids. I have lots of pictures too.  . Sharing only one here. In between several other interesting things happened. I took part as resource person on agri quiz 'krishi rasa prashne' conducted by 'Sonda Swarnavalli Matha'...
