Week 50/2025 : 8th December to 14 December

Dhruva is an year old. And it was time for vaccination. Typhoid+Hepatitis A. He already knew something bad is going to happen when we laid him on the hospital bed. He started crying way before doctor took out needle. Hungama lasted couple of minutes. We said thank you to our paediatrician in our own way: by giving a personalized notebook with our doc's name and a little embroidery. And we didn't miss giving chocolates to the nurse aunty.

We had a pizza on the way back home at 'La pinoz'. We love the Indian flavours at La Pinoz. We have a domino's, but we don't go there. We don't like the thick crust of the pizza base. Although dhruva can eat anything now,, we prefer not to give junk untill he becomes aware of healthy v/s not.

The days of celebration are not over yet. It was our marriage anniversary. We are married (of course happily) for 5 years now. And I kept bugging sujay to take me out (bugging husbands is a characteristic of happy marriage). He took us to 'Supriya international' the only 3 star hotel in Sirsi. (we don't have a 5 starer here). Its open for like 4 years now but we have never been there, Sujay kept saying thry don't make tasty food. We went in the evening, ordered Dosa. Food really tasted good for me, (not for sujay, his taste buds are very awkward).

We also visited this Rajasthani exhibition on the way back home.

We are almost in mid month, and I am rushing to write articles. As I said I am writing on insect cookies. Sneha sent me the cricket cookies from ATREE's stall at Science Gallery Bangalore. It tasted like the normal ones. I wrote a smaller article for Sudha, still pending with the lengthier one for Shramajeevi. While reading about these I saw few good Kannada magazines, and I subscribed them. I am crazy about magazines.

I watched a new web series 'The Girlfriend' on prime. Its a psycho thriller and I liked it. I also watched a tamizh movie '3BHK'.

For the next whole week Sujay is going to Hyderabad for Access Agriculture training. So me and Dhruva are going to our parents. Yay! kabbe we are coming.

From last week’s post; yes, the lumbar back pain! It still hasn’t improved. But I’m slowly moving forward with the feeling that it has become a part of my life, and I just have to embrace it as my own. The only solution is to lay down & not stress the nerves, which is something I obviously cannot afford at this age and stage. Still, I’m thankful to God that it didn’t trouble me during the third trimester and post delivery. week 49/2025 : 1st December Monday to 7th December Sunday

This week was fun (except for my back pain). I did a small embroidery on a notebook’s cover, inspired by something I had seen on insta handle of Neha Sachan .  I really enjoy doing such tiny, refreshing customization activities. The days suddenly jumped to Thursday, Dhruva’s first birthday. We didn’t celebrate with balloons, cakes, or people. I had ordered a new dhoti-kurta for Dhruva; we dressed him in it and took a photo. We went to Bakkala, to our Kuladevata ‘Satyanatheshwara’, and performed a ‘Rudra Abhisheka’. On the way back, we visited a ‘Gou Shala’. Dhruva, who is usually afraid of cows (very strange!), actually enjoyed watching the varied colored amba’s. The day was very auspicious because it was ‘Datta Jayanti’. Week 46 & 47/2025: Monday 10th Nov to Sunday 23rdNov

Sad days, which I am afraid of, are back. My lumbar back pain has returned after two years. I can’t stand straight, can’t put a firm step forward. The pain shoots down from hip to left leg. It hurts badly. I somehow knew the pain would return. It has already happened—the very thing I carefully tried to avoid. It feels like it is now tied to my life, returning whenever my fate is not good. I was expecting something like this to happen by mid-November. My horoscope shows bad days. It’s called 'Kuja–Rahu Sandhi'. Until now I was being ruled by the planet Kuja, and from now on it will be Rahu. It is said that Kuja and Rahu are opponents who dislike each other. Kuja is not willing to leave his power over me and not letting Rahu take over, whereas Rahu is all set to take charge. So the clash is affecting my health.
