Week 4/2026: 19th Jan Monday to 25th Jan Sunday

I had been wanting to do a baby photoshoot of Dhruva for a very long time. a proper studio photoshoot with pre-set themes, matching outfits, and professional photography. This Monday, we finally did it. There were five themes in two hours. I was worried that changing outfits and props so quickly would irritate Dhruva and that he might cry throughout the shoot. But he cooperated far more than I expected. We clicked some really cool photos.
We haven't received edited photos yet. Till then here is one sujay took with our camera.

This week, I also completed writing an article. I was completely out of ideas, brainstormed with ChatGPT, and ended up writing something on immortality in the plant kingdom. Plants don’t have a separate germline like animals do; their growth and reproduction happen simultaneously. Their death isn’t strictly time-bound either. How cool is that? Don’t you think the plant kingdom is almost immortal?

On Wednesday, I travelled 300 km back and forth to consult doctor Kulakarni for my back pain. He is a sports medicine specialist, and I had visited his clinic two years ago when the pain first started. He had almost cured it back then. This time, we did an X-ray. He said my spine is straighter than it should be, it ideally needs a natural curve, and this is putting pressure on the surrounding nerves. There is also compression at the L5 lumbar disc, which explains the pain. Let’s see how the treatment goes this time.
Dr. kiran Kulakarni is a sports medicine specialist. He is a part anti-doping squad of FIFA team India. This Jersey is displayed on his clinic. I highly highly recommend him of you/your relatives of any age have any kind of bone/joint/nerve pain. He himself is the survivor of sports accident.

I had to leave Dhruva from 11 in the morning till 8 at night. This was the first time ever that I had been away from him for so long. My amma and Sujay’s amma looked after him. They said he didn’t even call out my name once. Even when I came back, he was quite neutral. I concluded that he isn’t overly attached to me—and that’s probably a good sign. Still, I missed him terribly. I kept looking at his videos and photos while sitting in the clinic.
BUT. Girmit and Sabudan Vada on the way back home. Dhruva wouldn't have allowed us to eat this peacefully if he were there.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, I spent time exploring CSR funding opportunities for Phasalu. I’m working on a new project. Let time define its meaning.

I watched two movies as well: 'Others', a Hindi-dubbed Tamil movie on transgender lives, and 'Nodidavaru Yen Antare', a Kannada movie. I’m completely out of content on Prime now. Please suggest something good to watch.

On Sunday, we went for the inauguration of 'Essentia Spa and Resorts'. The builder is a friend and invited us for lunch. The project is worth around ₹40 crore. I have never seen such a lavish resort in my life—especially considering our middle-class background—and that too in a small town like ours.
I was attracted to these wall decors

  1. what u wrote about plants in the 2nd para is a profound takeaway. On contrary, humans have such a rigid timeline. I went on a search spiral on the internet after reading this. 😍
