Week 39/2025; 22nd Monday to 28th Sunday
This week we had all good things happening with respect to work. We (our company Haridrekha) got a letter from TECSOK (Technical Consultancy Services Organisation of Karnataka) that we are empanelled from Govt of Karnataka to provide technical consultancy services for the needy clients. This means – we are now certified - to help you in assisting what and how of a business/project, big/small. Say, you want to set up a pickle industry, we hand hold you starting from market survey, preparing concept notes, detailed project reports, share knowledge about loans/funds/govt schemes available, promoting branding and marketing of existing ventures. This is for individual, companies, private public government organisations, NGO, FPOs, everyone. We are into this business from long time; this certification is an encouragement to provide better service.
the letter of empanelmentOne more big event happened with respect to work. Sujay has been acting as district resource person for Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises, a central Government scheme that provides subsidy for those setting up new food industry/expand already existing unit. Six years of commencement of this scheme, Sujay has helped 160 members from our district in setting up various home-based food industries! Pickles, Chips, Snacks, Juices, Oil, Value added product industries to Spices and areca processing units, women, self-help groups have been hand held to full fill their wish in becoming entrepreneurs! 160! All of these beneficiaries came together for a meet, to share their experience and exhibit their produce on 22nd. Looking at their happy faces, listening to their success was overwhelming. Super proud of Sujay.
products exhibited on the dayI said that we have been providing consultancies for industries from a long time now. Few months back we had prepared a project report for ‘Kadamba Marketing Society’ to avail subsidy under ‘Cluster Development Program’ of ‘National Horticulture Board’. For the approval of the project NHB Team Delhi visited the organisation, and as a part of farmer field visit, them came to inspect our farm. They were very happy with the visit; Director sir expressed great regards to our work and achievements.
NHB team at homeWhat is Dhruva doing in the picture. He has been in a bad mood this week because of cold and runny nose. I blamed his illness on weather and neglected. But got worried after two days of sleepless nights. This time we gave him Homeopathic medicine. It worked well. This homeopathy medicines make me curious. Only doctor knows what’s inside those tiny sweet bead balls. They are against allopathic medicines. They think theirs is the best. They question a lot on symptoms; they are more into the psychology of a patient. Their approach is very intriguing. One of my Appa’s cousins said while she was travelling to Netherlands, the customs at airports seized her homeopathic medicines, and it tested positive for morphine! Sometimes this makes me not to believe in this system of medicine.
Meanwhile Dhruva is ill, a lizard fell on his head on an evening, its tail separated wiggling away from the body. In our religious texts, they say falling of lizard can have effects positive or negative depending on where it fell. We all got worried about the after effects. We looked up in the Panchanga, and it said for if lizard fell on head there might occur a quarrel. For it not to happen, take bath and pray the ‘ista devata’ lighten a ghee lamp. I did so. Afterwards l felt very silly on believing this. So many superstition around an already ugly looking creature like lizard! OR there might be any scientific reason we might not be know of?
Watching movies/series while breastfeeding is still on. Watched ‘Mehta Boys’, a movie on the ‘tricky’ relationship between father and son. Also ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. There has been a lot of negative comments and trolls on the making of this movie, and poor performance of legendary actors when it was released in 2024. For an avid Indian Mythology reader like me the concept of immortal Ashwathama, Kaliyuga, the rise of Kalki are all thrilling concepts. And so I kind of liked the movie. I not only watch movies while breastfeeding sometime also read books. I read ‘Abbe’, a novel on a probationary bank officer and his interests in wildlife, which I didn’t like, somehow struggled to finish. I am at this stage of reading Kannada books, by my own, not on recommendations. Hence, I try new books, sometimes end up disappointed, also wasting my money (I always buy books, never borrow). That’s ok as long as I buy (I feel that’s how we encourage Kannada writers) and read.
cover page of Abbe,There was a Khadi handloom exhibition occurring in Sirsi. I went to see if any thing interests me. As always, there were many shops, calling themselves Handloom. But I doubt they all are power loomed. I loved a saree, but it was expensive, I almost bought it, then made my mind not to. I bought a cotton kurti. I find these kind very comfortable.
See you!
