Week 23 of 2025, Sunday to Saturday, June 1st to June 7th

Cut and sew✂️🪡. This week I was on my sewing machine. Mostly. I stitched caps for Dhruva, bed covers for his tiny bed, shortened many of his pants (he is like me, if I get a smaller size, it’s tight at the waist; one size up, and the legs are too long🥲) also stitched a laptop sleeve, few cloth bags. Sewing is one of my favorite hobbies. Refreshing. But equally irritating if machine is not working properly (iykyk).

Water apple trees are fruiting. Hundreds of them ripening at a single time. We shared among friends and relatives. Still hundreds left. I thought to make jam. It turned out greeeeeeeat😋. Sweet and sour. We have lots of fruiting trees around, I sometimes feel I should make jam jelly leather pickle any kind of value added products out of them and sell under our farm brand. May be I should.

Dhruva turned six months on 4th June. Thought to take his picture from my instant camera. I clicked a photo, It turned white as I had set the key to high brightness. I clicked another, film didn't come out. Camera was showing 6 films left. I clicked again and again. Nothing. Asked AI, Spent 2 hours checking every YouTube video available on this. Only to realize the cartridge was over; it was showing false film count 🤷. I have ordered a new cartridge, may reach anytime soon.

Instant camera was on my wish list. Thanks to my dear friend Nagendra. He saved my father's money and my husband's money by gifting it during our marriage🤗 (my HARD EARNED money would go for savings, and their money they wouldn't have put on buying SILLY THINGS like these- "PS: humor") . From the day I received it I am thinking what to return gift.

Fujifilm instant camera - every girl's dream

 Till now I have clicked only 3 good photos from the cartridge of 10. cartridges start from Rs.700. Instant camera is a luxury.

Halasina mēḷa! The jackfruit fair is back. The event that happened on 5th and 6th in Sirsi was ths the 12th edition. Jackfruit rangoli, exhibition of jack varieties, panel discussions by experts on jack improvement and value addition, Jackfruit Nurseries, Jackfruit food stall, everything was jack, I attended and enjoyed every bit of it.

Suchi chikkamma prepared a jackfruit flavored jackfruit themed cake for the inauguration, it looked awesome, tasted delicious.  

With respect to work. I have started my weekend horti classes for students of 'Neernalli' high school. I have proposed the concept to 'Bhairumbe' highschool. They have agreed whole heartedly. I also met members of 'Kalike', an NGO, which runs a childrens community library. I am looking forward to volunteer with them.

Next week is super hectic. I have lots of pending works. I am not satisfied by what I am teaching. So I am working on revising the syllabus, more creatively, focusing Hands-on activities with new teaching aids.

From last week’s post; yes, the lumbar back pain! It still hasn’t improved. But I’m slowly moving forward with the feeling that it has become a part of my life, and I just have to embrace it as my own. The only solution is to lay down & not stress the nerves, which is something I obviously cannot afford at this age and stage. Still, I’m thankful to God that it didn’t trouble me during the third trimester and post delivery. week 49/2025 : 1st December Monday to 7th December Sunday

This week was fun (except for my back pain). I did a small embroidery on a notebook’s cover, inspired by something I had seen on insta handle of Neha Sachan .  I really enjoy doing such tiny, refreshing customization activities. The days suddenly jumped to Thursday, Dhruva’s first birthday. We didn’t celebrate with balloons, cakes, or people. I had ordered a new dhoti-kurta for Dhruva; we dressed him in it and took a photo. We went to Bakkala, to our Kuladevata ‘Satyanatheshwara’, and performed a ‘Rudra Abhisheka’. On the way back, we visited a ‘Gou Shala’. Dhruva, who is usually afraid of cows (very strange!), actually enjoyed watching the varied colored amba’s. The day was very auspicious because it was ‘Datta Jayanti’. Week 46 & 47/2025: Monday 10th Nov to Sunday 23rdNov

Sad days, which I am afraid of, are back. My lumbar back pain has returned after two years. I can’t stand straight, can’t put a firm step forward. The pain shoots down from hip to left leg. It hurts badly. I somehow knew the pain would return. It has already happened—the very thing I carefully tried to avoid. It feels like it is now tied to my life, returning whenever my fate is not good. I was expecting something like this to happen by mid-November. My horoscope shows bad days. It’s called 'Kuja–Rahu Sandhi'. Until now I was being ruled by the planet Kuja, and from now on it will be Rahu. It is said that Kuja and Rahu are opponents who dislike each other. Kuja is not willing to leave his power over me and not letting Rahu take over, whereas Rahu is all set to take charge. So the clash is affecting my health.
